Emerging Journalist is a student-run platform dedicated to giving young writers a real place to publish their ideas, stories, and research. Created with the goal of making student work visible, valued, and shared, our journal highlights the voices and perspectives that too often go unnoticed.
We believe every student has something meaningful to say—whether it’s investigative research, creative storytelling, opinion writing, or reflections on experiences that shape our community. Our mission is to provide a space where those ideas can grow, be read, and make an impact.
All submissions are reviewed by a small student editorial team committed to fairness, clarity, and encouraging strong writing. We focus on positive development, thoughtful feedback, and helping authors refine their work while keeping their original voice.
Emerging Journalist is more than a publication—it’s a place for students to learn, express themselves, and discover the power of sharing their work with others. As we continue to expand categories, features, and opportunities, we hope to inspire more students to write boldly, think deeply, and contribute to conversations that matter.
Thank you for supporting a project built by students, for students.
